Callis Yard, Woolwich, London Borough Greenwich: MacDonald Egan Ltd
Redevelopment of a Council depot to provide 177 residential flats with 1500sqm of commercial use in Woolwich town centre. The proposal provided parking for 33 vehicles in a basement car park and 2 car club spaces. ADL designed the site access arrangements and provided assistance to the architects in designing the access and parking layout. ADL prepared a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan. Post submission ADL led negotiations with LB Greenwich Highway Authority and TfL regarding the S106 contributions.
Broniestyn Terrace, Hirwaun, Rhondda Cynon Taf: Piper Securities Holdings Ltd
The proposal was for 130 residential dwellings at the site on the edge of Hirwaun town centre. ADL advised the client from the initial stage of identifying the appropriate properties which would be required to achieve a satisfactory access arrangement, through to preparing and submitting a Transport Assessment. The application was refused and ADL provided Expert Witness at Public Inquiry in support. This included a scheme for significant traffic calming within the town centre. The transport issues were successfully resolved.

Tenby, Pembrokeshire: Tenby Walled Town Residents Association
ADL were appointed by TWTA to assist them in their confrontation with Pembrokeshire County Council. The Council had imposed a TRO which was a complete prohibition of all vehicle movement with the Walled Town from 10:00 – 16:00 hours for six weeks of the summer. ADL sought unfettered access for the residents. The Council eventually acceded to a TRO Public Inquiry where ADL undertook the advocacy and achieved the restoration of the residents’ unfettered rights of vehicle access throughout the summer.
